2. 'Apocalypse Now'.

The ultimate feel good film sees Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller who just can't manage school today and so instead gets his best friend and his girlfriend to play hooky with him and go on a crazy adventure. If you're having a bad day, this film won't fail to put a smile on your face.
4. 'The Shining'.
When Jack Nicholson and his family arrive at the Overlook Hotel for the winter they expect their jobs as caretakers to be an easy ride. 5. 'It's A Wonderful Life'.
When it comes to Christmas films, 'It's A Wonderful Life' is a must-see. The heart-warming story of George Bailey who helps everyone but thinks they'll all be better off without him when disaster strikes, stars James Stewart and Donna Reed. It's pretty tough going for a while but with a happy ending and beautiful Christmas message, you won't regret it.
6. 'Trainspotting'.
This adaptation of Ewan McGregor's novel starring a young Ewan McGregor, as well as plenty of other well-known faces who were just starting out in 1996, gives a stark look at the drug culture in the '90s. Heroin addict Mark Renton has plenty of ups and downs before getting clean and moving on but his friends won't let him go that easily.
7. When Harry Met Sally
Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal star in this romcom about a pair of friends who are determined to prove that men and women can have platonic relationships. Remember that iconic lunch scene? Revisit this classic film for plenty of laughs and love.
8. 'Pulp Fiction'.
Quentin Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction' has an amazing cast, which includes John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman and Bruce Willis. In this crime-filled drama the lives of hitmen, gangsters, robbers, an actress and a boxer are all interconnected in an unbelievable story, which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes.
9. 'Back To The Future'.
When it comes to sci-fi it doesn't get much better than the 'Back To The Future' trilogy starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. When Doc Brown invents a time machine his friend, Marty McFly gets sent back in time to the '50s and accidentally bumps into his parents with catastrophic consequences.
10. 'The Good, The Bad And The Ugly'.
The legendary Clint Eastwood stars in this western as a stranger who teams up with a Mexican outlaw to turn him in for the reward money and then rescue him before he's hanged. Not all goes to plan though and soon the pair at eat others throats.
11. Dirty Dancing
This must-see movie needs no introduction! Watch Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze take to the dance floor as the young Baby and skilful Johnny in this romantic '80s flick about a growing up and discovering who you are.
12. '2001: A Space Odyssey'.

13. 'Star Wars'.
With 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' coming out this year there's no better time to revisit the original 'Star Wars' trilogy. Relish the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia from the their first meeting to the final battle, and if you've still got time, we guess you can watch the prequel trilogy too.

A true underdog story, 'Rocky' stars Sylvester Stallone as a small-time boxer who unexpectedly gets to fight the reigning world heavyweight champion. Written by Stallone and directed by John G. Avildsen, it spawned a whopping six sequels and spin-offs.

He's sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor who's son will one day lead mankind to victory, but so is Kyle Reese, a solider from the future sworn to protect her.
18. 'American Beauty'.
'American Beauty' sees Kevin Spacey take on the role of a mediocre man who's become bored with his life and decides to change it. His wife leaves him and he becomes infatuated with his teenage daughter's best friend. Needless to say, things don't end well...
19. 'Casablanca'.
Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman star in this classic film about love and loss. When Rick's former lover walks into his bar in Casablanca he has to make a choice between winning her back and helping her Czech Resistance leader husband escape so he can continue fighting the Nazis.
