Manager leaves Firm with entire client roster

Adam Shulman has exited what’s left of the management/production company the Firm to join Anonymous Content as a manager.

Shulman brings with him his entire roster of clients, who include “Dreamgirls” writer-director Bill Condon, “Brokeback Mountain” scribes Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana, “Live Free or Die Hard” scribe Mark Bomback, the writing team of Shari Berman and Robert Pulcini (“American Splendor”) and Jessica Yu, writer-director of the Oscar-winning docu short “Breathing Lessons” who now directs episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Shulman is the latest prominent manager to exit the Firm following last week’s resignation of founder Jeff Kwatinetz, who left weeks after Rick and Julie Yorn ankled. Kwatinetz and the Yorns are in the process of starting separate companies.

Noting that he was one of the last staffers left at the Firm, Shulman said: “I’m literally about the last person standing from Mike Ovitz and the AMG days, and if this was ‘Survivor,’ I guess I would win a million dollars.”

Shulman joined Ovitz at AMG more than eight years ago, and before that was an agent at APA and UTA, and before that a corporate lawyer in New York.

“Adam is a manager with whom we’ve done business for many years,” said Anonymous Content chairman-CEO Steve Golin. “His taste in clients and material and his outstanding personal reputation make him a perfect fit here at Anonymous.”
