Finally revealed: the origin of that seemingly random Beck and Sia duet from the Annie soundtrack. It’s the theme song to a fake movie within a movie, a wink-wink parody of the Twilight series, called MoonQuake Lake — starring Andrea Alvin (Mila Kunis), Simon Goodspeed (Ashton Kutcher), and Rihanna, playing a scary sea monster. With help from The Lego Movie’s Philip Lord, the fake movie appears when Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) takes Annie (Quvenzhané Wallis) to a movie premiere — remember “Let’s Go to the Movies”? And just in case they’re reading this: Sony, I would 100 percent see this movie in theaters.
