Crunchyroll has announced the nominees for its sixth annual Anime Awards, and fans can now head online to vote for their favorite contenders.

Crunchyroll has opened voting for its sixth annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards, announcing the nominees in 26 different categories. The biggest anime releases from 2021 will compete for honors, starting with Anime of the Year and extending all the way to voice performances and character design. Read on to learn which series were nominated for the 2022 event and where you can cast your vote.

Several heavy hitters are up for Anime of the Year

Perhaps the most coveted honor at Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards is Anime of the Year. And several heavy hitters are up for the prize in 2022:

With Attack on Titan nearing its end, it only has a couple more chances to take home the gold. Of course, Jujutsu Kaisen and ODDTAXI have sparked enough conversations to compete with the popular shonen series. And just about every anime in this category is deserving of the title. Fortunately, they’re all up for more than one category.

Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards feature a wide range of talent

In addition to Anime of the Year, Crunchyroll recognizes each year’s anime lineup for a range of accomplishments — from crafting the most compelling protagonist or best fight scene to impressive scoring and acting. Additionally, the top anime have the chance to be named the best in their respective genres.

According to Crunchyroll, this year’s list pulls from 40 anime studios across eight streaming platforms. And anime lovers will no doubt recognize many of the contenders.

Voting for the 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards is now open

Now that the nominees for Crunchyroll’s 2022 Anime Awards have been announced, fans can go vote for the series they deem most worthy of each prize. To cast your vote, head over to Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards website.

Voting will remain open from Jan. 18 at 12 p.m. PST to Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. PST. The winners will be announced on Crunchyroll’s website and social media channels on Feb. 9, 2022. Fan consensus will determine who takes home each prize, with a panel of international judges on-hand to cast deciding votes if necessary.
