“Stranger Things” and “Gran Turismo” star David Harbour has been named the new “BoxLunch Giving Ambassador,” joining the retailer and Feeding America on a mission to raise awareness about hunger in America.
The two parties will launch “The Art of Giving,” a comprehensive marketing campaign starring Harbour, that shares resources and tips to help end food insecurity. The ads will appear in all 260+ BoxLunch locations starting Nov. 6.
“BoxLunch captured the deep generosity of spirit that beats in the heart of the holiday season with their ‘art of giving’ campaign. I’m proud to be a part of it and support the amazing work done by both BoxLunch and Feeding America,” stated Harbour — who sports a sweater featuring Calcifer from Hayao Miyazaki’s 2004 anime film “Howls Moving Castle” in the campaigns main image.

Steve Vranes, CEO of BoxLunch’s parent company Hot Topic Inc. shared his gratitude for Harbour, adding: “By coming together and highlighting BoxLunch’s ongoing support for the vital work done by Feeding America to make a meaningful impact in the movement to end hunger, we can help ensure that individuals and families in communities across the country have access to the food they need to thrive.”

The campaign will include video components, interviews and web content that feature Harbour sharing his personal connection to BoxLunch’s mission to end hunger with Feeding America, the country’s largest hunger relief organization. Harbour will also join BoxLunch in a volunteer day, as well as celebrate the 175 million meals the retailer has donated to Feeding America by appearing as the guest of honor at the second annual BoxLunch Holiday Gala in Los Angeles.
At the inaugural gala last November, BoxLunch Giving Ambassador Simu Liu surprised guests by donating $100,000 to the cause.
