Are Pears The Diamond Shape Of 2022? Adele's Rock Suggests So.

April 2024 · 2 minute read

While some were swooning over her beautiful custom Armani gown and others were busy trying to recreate her contemporary take on the cat-eye liner, the magpies amongst us had our eyes on one thing only as Adele made her much-anticipated arrival on the red carpet; that whopping great diamond on her ring finger.

And while it's more than possible that she just loved the ring and that her fourth finger happened to be the one that it fit, but - of course - fans went wild speculating whether or not the iconic star might just be engaged to Rich Paul, having confirmed their relationship in 2021.

One person tweeted, “Wait a damn minute. Is @adele engaged? If so congratulations,” while another wrote, “ADELE OH MY GOD wait a min- is she engaged? Did I miss something?” and another added, “Ermm… Did Adele just casually let the world know she’s engaged to Rich Paul by wearing this WHOPPER teardrop diamond ring at the #Brits !??”

All very good questions, but regardless of what the ring does or doesn't stand for I think we can all agree on one thing. WHAT a ring.

“Adele's ring is a seriously impressive pear-shaped diamond. From the photos, it looks like it’s between 8 and 10 carats with the band delicately set with diamonds,” revealed  Kyron Keogh, co-founder and MD at Rox Diamonds. “I would estimate it would cost around £750,000. The pear shaped, or ‘tear drop’, diamond is a timeless and feminine style that is a best-seller at Rox.”
